Anemia and academic performance in students of the Ricardo Ramos Plata Higher Institute, Sechura

The research aimed to determine the relationship between anemia and academic performance in first-year Pharmacy students at the Ricardo Ramos Plata Higher Institute. A descriptive-non-experimental methodology was employed, with a census population of 35 students. An instrument was designed for data collection, including a form to record hemoglobin levels and academic grades. The data were processed and analyzed using Excel and SPSS version 25, utilizing the Spearman's Rho test, which showed a strong positive correlation (0.731) between anemia and academic performance (p < 0.05).
