Ethical Statement and Editorial Best Practices
At Pedagogical Constellations: Journal of Interdisciplinary Educational Research, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professionalism throughout all stages of the editorial process. This statement aligns with the international guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and reflects our commitment to academic integrity, transparency, and respect for the rights of authors, reviewers, and readers.
Responsibilities of the Editorial Team
- Impartiality: We ensure the objective evaluation of all manuscripts, regardless of the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, or political beliefs.
- Confidentiality: All content submitted for evaluation is treated with strict confidentiality and is not shared with third parties outside the editorial process.
- Editorial Decisions: Decisions regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript are based exclusively on its academic relevance, originality, clarity, and alignment with the journal's objectives and scope.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors are responsible for properly citing all sources used in their work.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their research.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Objectivity: Reviewers must provide impartial and constructive evaluations based on clear academic criteria.
- Confidentiality: All information contained in manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential and not disclosed to third parties.
- Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must refrain from evaluating manuscripts in which they have a personal, professional, or financial conflict of interest.
Handling Complaints and Misconduct
We take any complaints regarding unethical conduct or violations of ethical standards very seriously. In cases of suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, or any other unethical behavior, a rigorous investigation will be conducted based on COPE recommendations. Sanctions may include the immediate rejection of the manuscript or, in more severe cases, notifying the involved institutions.
Plagiarism Detection Policy
We use advanced tools, such as Turnitin, to detect potential cases of plagiarism. We only accept manuscripts with a similarity index below 20%. If a higher percentage is identified, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.
Commitment to Transparency
Our journal fosters transparency in academic publishing. We openly declare our editorial policies, peer review processes, and ethical guidelines to ensure the trust of our academic community.
